not quite as entertaining as ted haggard. . .

. . . but this guy really was sending people to hell (prison), and then, for some of them, death (the gurney). Don't you love it? I mean, I hate to take pleasure in somebody else's misery, but when truly powerful people go down (apparently this guy directed the district attorney's office which since '82 has convicted about a quarter of all the prisoners executed by the state of Texas--that's power!), I can't help but just enjoy a tiny quiver of pleasure, even if I feel sorry them and their families.
